Anastasia earned her B.A. from the College of the Holy Cross and received her M.A. from Teachers College at Columbia University in the City of New York. Her career has spanned teaching in both public and independent schools. A life-long learner and collaborator with her students she said, “Learning is a journey we embark upon together.” She started playing volleyball in middle school, and she has coached in a variety of different leagues, including the USA Juniors Volleyball program. In her spare time, she loves to read and take long walks with her German shepherd, Teddy. 

Sharon Migdal believes in creating a positive and safe learning environment for her students so they can focus on higher-order thinking. While a research consultant at a private school in New York, she researched the middle school students’ intrinsic motivations for learning. She also piloted a social-emotional learning program for kindergarten through fifth-grade students. As a DEI task force member, she implemented new practices to uphold culturally responsive teaching so that all students can achieve their best. She’s excited to bring her energy and enthusiasm to KO.
