Center for Leadership

Margaret E. & Henry R. Roberts Center for Leadership

A Systematic Approach to Leadership Development

What a Difference Empowerment Makes

The Margaret E. and Henry R. Roberts Center for Leadership empowers future leaders to create change by cultivating a deep sense of social responsibility and integrity. The Center offers multiple opportunities to engage in the powerful learning that happens outside the classroom.

As an integral element of our engaged liberal arts program, the Center allows students to embark on the understanding of self, others, and the community as we grow as leaders. Our students are ready, knowledgeable, and prepared to impact our world, locally and globally, with empathy and respect.

The Margaret E. & Henry R. Roberts Center for Leadership’s curriculum is curated for grades 6-12 with clear directives and goals and centered around programs that integrate class connections, trips and events, community engagement, internships, and global travel.

“It is better to lead from behind and to put others in front, especially when you celebrate victory when nice things occur. You take the front line when there is danger, then people will appreciate your leadership.”

— Nelson Mandela

Tapping Leadership Potential with Real-World Experiences

KO gives students multiple opportunities to learn the skills required to lead. Whether they are engaged in clubs, sports, classes, and activities, students can actively practice their burgeoning abilities. They can lead a group project and learn how to make a group function effectively; they can test their judgment under pressure; they can sharpen their intuitive gifts and see how their words and actions impact others.
